ALSは病気を起こす原因や根本的な治療法が未だ明らかでない運動神経の難病ですが、技術の進歩によりわずかな数しか存在しない運動神経を含めた多くの脳と脊髄の細胞の状態変化を別々に調べ、新たな知見を得ることができました。今回の研究成果が効果的な治療法の開発につながればと考えています。
